  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 4 sliced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup consomme
  • 3/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Boil macaroni. Place 1/3 in buttered casserole dish. Cover with layer of tomatoes and dust with 1/3 of sugar, salt and pepper mixed together and 1/3 of cheese. Continue until 3 layers have been made. Pour consomme over all. Mix bread crumbs with melted butter and spread on top. Bake 40 minutes at 350F.
