Ingredients

  • 10 jalapeños
  • 1 8oz package of room temperature cream cheese
  • 4 oz shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 3 chopped green onions
  • 3/4 C bacon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 T salted butter
  • 1/2 C panko bread crumbs
  • 2 T grated parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cream cheese, bacon bits, shredded cheese, green onion, salt and pepper together. Half and remove seeds of jalapeno peppers. Fill each pepper with cream cheese filling. Melt butter over medium heat. Add bread crumbs, mix, and cook until lightly toasted. Place into a bowl and set aside to cool. Mix in parmesan cheese. Press jalapeno peppers into topping. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or put in freezer for 5 minutes prior to baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until crust is light brown.
