- 1/2 recipe pie pastry
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup pecans

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350. Line a 9 inch pie plate with the dough and crimp the edges.
In a large bowl, combine the butter, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, salt and sugar and stir until well mixed. Stir in the pecans. Pour the filling into the crust.
Bake for about 45 minutes, until a thin knife inserted into the filling halfway between the crust and the center comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
