Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2 squares chocolate
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 whole unbeaten eggs
- 3/4 cup nuts
- 1 cup flour
- 1 t vanilla
- Mrs. Alden's Brownies with Icing
- 4 squares melted chocolate
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 T vanilla
- Icing
- 1 box 4x sugar
- 2 T soft butter
- 2 squares chocolate
- 1 t vanilla
- Milk - to desired consistency
Details
Cooking time 25mins
Preparation
Step 1
Melt first three ingredients.
Mix all and pour in greased and floured pan, 8 or 9 " sq.
3 T cocoa and 1 T butter = 1 oz. chocolate
Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
*For Brownie Pie
Use 1/4 cup flour instead of 1 cup.
Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Mrs. Alden's Brownies with Icing
Melt chocolate
In mixer beat eggs until fluffy
Gradually add sugar and beat
Add melted butter and beat
Fold in flour
Add nuts and vanilla
Bake in a greased pan at 325 degrees for 20 minutes
