AUNT IKEY'S SUGAR COOKIES - (NO NEED TO CHILL THE DOUGH)

• 3/4 C. shortening
• 1 t. vanilla
• 1 C. sugar
• 1 t. baking powder
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 t. baking soda
• 1/4 t. salt
• 2 3/4 C. flour

Preparation

Step 1

PREHEAT 350 deg.

Cream together shortening & sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, beat thoroughly.

Mix in baking powder, salt, baking soda & flour.

NO NEED TO CHILL DOUGH!

Roll out 1/8" thick & cut with cookie cutters.

Bake 10 min. or until golden brown.

For colorful cookies add food coloring before baking.

For variety add pecans, or coconut, raisins or brickle toffee bits.
