Preparation

Step 1

Combine apple cider, cranberry juice and orange juice in a percolator. Place sugar, ALLSPICE, CLOVES and CINNAMON STICKS in the percolator basket. Allow the percolator to go through its heating cycle and serve hot.

This punch can also be made in a slow cooker, or for true elegance, heat in a kettle, pour some into a glass pitcher and make the rounds of the party to give the guests a warm topper. The rest can stay heating until you need it. This is also a good way to make lots of punch. The recipe is for a standard coffee pot–just make sure the basket is thoroughly cleaned so the punch doesn’t taste like coffee! Makes: 8 cups Prep. time: 2 minutes Cooking time: 10 minutes, but it can simmer indefinitely.
