Cookies: Williams Sonoma Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 3/4 t salt
- 16 T unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 medium eggs
- 2 t vanilla extract
- 12 ozs semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 325 degrees
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or Silpat
Over a sheet of waxed paper, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a flat beater, beat the butter on medium-low speed til
smooth, about 30 seconds. Add the brown and granulated sugars, increase the speed to medium
and beat til slightly fluffy, about 1 minute, stopping the mixer occasionally to scrape down the sides
of the bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then beat in vanilla,
stopping the mixer occasionally scrape down the sides of the bowl. Reduce the speed to low,
gradually add the flour mixture and beat til just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake 12-15 minutes or til desired doneness.
