Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 4 T. flour
  • 6 T. chili powder
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 2 cans milk
  • salt
  • corn tortillas
  • grated cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook 1/2 the onion with the ground beef. Add flour & chili powder, cook 5 minutes. Stir in water. Cover and simmer till thick.

Mix soup, milk & remaining onion in bowl. Add salt to taste.

Cut tortillas into strips & place in casserole dish. Alternate tortillas, meat mixture, soup mixture and grated cheese. Add another layer.

Bake at 350 till hot & browned.
