Creamy White Betty Crocker Frosting

This frosting is perfect when you want a topping that’s white as snow. Clear vanilla or almond extract adds a nice flavor but won’t change the color of the frosting.

Ingredients

• 3 cups powdered sugar
• 1/3 cup shortening
• 1/4 cup milk
• 1/2 tsp clear vanilla or almond extract

Preparation

Step 1

Mix powdered sugar and shortening in medium bowl with spoon or with electric mixer on low speed. Stir in milk and vanilla until smooth. If necessary, stir in additional milk, a few drops at a time, until smooth and spreadable.
Generously frosts a 13 x 9-inch cake, or fills and frosts an 8-9 inch two-layer cake.
