Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
- 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
- Filling:
- 16 ounces cream cheese
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- Topping:
- 21 ounces cherry pie filling
- 1 container frozen whipped cream, thawed

Preparation
Step 1
Crust:
1. Combine crumbs and margarine.
2. Press into bottom of a 9" springform pan.
3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
Filling:
4. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended.
5. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
6. Blend in chocolate and almond extract; pour over crust.
7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
8. Loosen cake from pan; cool before removing rim of pan.
9. When cooled, remove rim and chill.
10. Top cheesecake with cherry pie filling and whipped cream and serve.
