Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground sirloin
  • 2 c. cooked rice
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2-15 oz. cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 large green peppers, chopped coarsely

Preparation

Step 1

Mix meat, rice and spices. Place 1 can diced tomatoes on bottom of crock pot. Arrange 1/2 cup-sized meat balls on top of tomatoes. Pour other can of diced tomatoes on top of meatballs. Place green peppers on top of meatballs. Placed sliced onion on top of peppers. Pour tomato sauce on top followed by 8 oz. of water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

Serve with mashed potatoes, corn and crusty bread.
