Ingredients

  • Possible seasonings:
  • Onion, diced medium
  • Celery, chopped
  • Potatoes, 1" cubes
  • canned oysters, with juice
  • Bacon, cooked crispy, chopped small
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 2 heaping Tbsp Flour
  • 2 cups Milk or Half and Half
  • Garlic
  • Lemon
  • Old Bay
  • Paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bay leaf
  • Fresh Parsley
  • Fresh Chives
  • Liquid Smoke

Preparation

Step 1

1. On stove top, sauté onion and celery in butter. Add salt and pepper to taste.
2. Add flour and stir over medium heat until flour gets a nutty smell, then pour into crock pit. You can deglaze pan and add that to crock pot as well.
3. Add potatoes, oysters, seasonings, milk/half and half. Stir.
4. Cook on low for 2-4 hours. During last half hour of cooking time, add fresh herbs and bacon.
