Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup bottled teriyaki sauce
  • 2 Tbs. honey
  • 2 Tbs. butter, melted
  • 2 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 3 lbs. green beans, trimmed
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 red pepper, cut into 1/4"-thick strips, 1 cup
  • 1 onion, cut into 1/4"-thick
  • wedges, 1 cup
  • 1 cup roasted whole cashews

Step 1

Combine teriyaki sauce, honey and butter; reserve. Bring large pot of water to boil; add lemon juice. Add beans; cook until just tender, 5 minutes. Meanwhile, fill large bowl with ice water. Drain beans; transfer beans to ice water. When cool, remove with slotted spoon; reserve.
Wipe pot dry. Over medium heat add bacon; cook until crisp. Drain on paper towels; crumble. To fat in pot add red pepper and onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly softened, 2 minutes. Add cashews and reserved beans, bacon and teriyaki mixture; cook, tossing, until heated through, 3-4 minutes.
