• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 small onion, diced
• 1 small garlic clove, minced
• 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
• 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Step 1

In 4 quart saucepan or 12 inch skillet over high heat, cook ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is browned and onion is tender, about 10 minutes, stirring often.

Add crushed tomatoes and remining ingredients and heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 30 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.
