Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped mixed vegetables (potatoes, carrots, celery, and onions)
- I cup chopped chicken
- Water
- Salt and chicken flavoring to taste
- DUMPLINGS
- l 1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- Milk

Preparation
Step 1
Cook vegetables until soft. Place chicken in 3-quart saucepan and cover with water; add salt and chicken flavoring. Heat to boiling and cook until chicken is done. Add vegetables and bring back to a boil before adding dumpling dough.
Dumplings:
Combine flour, butter, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Add enough milk to make a stiff dough. Drop by spoonfuls in boiling chicken mix¬ture. Cover and reduce heat for 2O minutes without lifting lid.
