Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 4 to 5 lb spareribs (cut into 4 rib pieces)
  • garlic clove
  • 1/2 onion
  • bay Leaf
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp dijon miustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp pepper

Step 1

Put ribs in a large pot with garlic clove, onion, and bay leaf. Cover with water. Bring to the boil and simmer 1 hour. Remove from heat, let cool. Drain.

combine saauce ingredients. Mix well.

Place ribs in a large foil lined pan. Pour sauce over ribs. (place meat side down.) Cover ribs with foil. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325. Remove foil. Turn ribs (meat side up) Broil for 10 to 15 mins or you can barbecue ribs for 15 mins.
