Ingredients

  • 1 (1lb.) ground sirloin
  • 1 (1 lb.) ground chuck
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
  • Homemade Hamburger Buns
  • 1 (48 oz.) pkg. frozen white bread dough loaves
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tlsp. poppy seed (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

BURGER- Preheat grill med-high heat. Combine first 4 ingredients. Shape mix into 6 patties.
Grill, covered with grill lid, 4-5 mins. on each side. Serve on Homemade Hamburger buns





BUNS-Let dough stand at room temp. for 15 mins. cut dough into 12 equal portions. Place dough on a lightly greased 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Let rise 30 mins. or til doubled in bulk.
Shape each dough portion into 5 inck circle,& place on greased jelly roll pan. Whisk together egg & 2 Tblsp.water. Brush dough with egg mix & sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
Let rise in warm place 1 hr. or til doubled.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake rolls 20-22 mins. til browned. Let stand 15 mins. Cut rolls in half crosswise. toast
