Chocolate Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- 2 cups (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips, divided
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup hot water
- 5 cups day-old French bread or white bread, crust removed and cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- CARAMEL SAUCE (optional)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup brown sugar

Step 1
HEAT oven to 350ºF.
Lightly butter 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
Melt all but 2 tablespoons chocolate chips in heavy saucepan over low heat.
WHISK together sweetened condensed milk, eggs, water and melted chocolate chips.
Stir bread into chocolate mixture; let stand 1 to 2 minutes.
Spoon bread mixture into prepared dish.
Dot top with butter.
BAKE @ 350* for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove from oven; sprinkle with reserved chocolate chips.
Serve warm with Caramel Sauce, if desired.
CARAMEL SAUCE
COMBINE all ingredients in medium saucepan; simmer 3 to 4 minutes. Serve warm over chocolate bread pudding.
