Ingredients

  • GLAZE:
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 T. poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 t. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 t. almond extract
  • 1 1/2 t. butter extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. orange juice
  • 1/2 t. each vanilla, butter and almond extract

Step 1

Combine all dry ingredients togethr in mixing bowls. In smaller bowl, beat eggs slightly, add milk, oil and extracts. Combine both dry and liquid ingredients together, just until well blended. Bake at 325 degrees for 60-65 minutes.

Makes 2 large loaves or 6 mini loaves.

For the Glaze:
Put ingredients in sauce pan and bring to boil. When bread is completely cool, put glaze on, let set 5 mintues; remove.
