- 2-4 cups flour (start with 2 and add more if needed)
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 tablespoons alum
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 tablespoons oil
- liquid food coloring

Step 1
Pour dry ingredients into a large pan and stir together.
Stir oil and food coloring into the water in a separate bowl.
Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients while mixing.
When the dough becomes stiff enough, squeeze and knead the dough with your hands.
Add more flour if dough is sticky.
Store in ziplock bag. Refrigerate for best freshness, but not necessary.
