Ingredients

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tablespoon onion salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine all of the ingredients except the butter. Bring to a simmer and cook over a low heat for 30 minutes. Just before serving, stir in the butter and allow it to melt through the sauce.
