  • Smoked Gouda
  • Smoked Mozzarella
  • Smoked Provolone
  • Pumpernickel Bread
  • Smoked Paprika

Step 1

Thinly slice all the cheeses, then cut those into inch-thick strips. On one pumpernickel slice, lay strips across, interchanging the types of cheese as you go across. Repeat two more times, each time changing the order of the cheese strips.

Place second slice of pumpernickel on top. Lightly spread both sides of sandwich with butter, then dust both sides with the smoked paprika.

Place sandwich in preheated skillet over medium-low heat. Grill 3 minutes each side, covered, until cheese oozes out the sides and begins to "fry" to a slight crunchiness.

Remove from skillet, slice in half while hot, and enjoy!
