Ingredients

  • 2 c flour
  • 1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c unsalted butter at roon temp
  • 1 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c chocolate chips
  • note: could add almonds or white chocolate chips, just reduce the amount of chocolate chips to accomodate.

Step 1

Heat oven to 325. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.

Shape lough into logs.. Bake until edges start to brown and tops becomes firm, about 45 mins. Cool. Cut into 1/2 inch diagonal slices. Return to baking sheet and bake until dried, apprx 25 mins.
