Corn Starch Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 TBSP cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together milk and sugar and heat in a double boiler
In a bowl mix together remaining milk and cornstarch
into a thin paste
When mixture has come to a simmer,pour a little of the hot mixture into the cold milk and cornstarch,then pour back into the hot mixture in pan.
Cook until thick
Put egg yolks in bowl. Beat slightly. Pour a little of the hot mixture into eggs and stir quickly,then pour egg mixture back into pan.
Cook until pudding consistency. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Chill several hours.
