From the Philadelphia Cream Cheese book. I've used this old standard many times and it has always turned out well.

Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese softened.
  • 2 C. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 TBS. chopped Pimento
  • 1 Tbs. chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tbs. finely chopped onion
  • 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • dash of ground pepper
  • dash of salt
  • chopped pecans

Step 1

Combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese mixing at medium speed until well blended. Add all remaining ingredients except pecans; mix well. Chill several hours. Shape into ball; roll in pecans. Serve with crackers.
