Italian Star Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 pound lard
• 12 egg yolks
• 2 cups sugar
• 5 1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cream lard and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs and mix well.
Add flour and mix well.
Lay out dough to desired thickness.
Cut out cookies(star or other shape).
Place in a preheated oven at 350F.
Baking time will vary depending on thickness of cookies.
When cookies are a light brown, they're done!
For an added touch, brush lightly with egg whites.
This will add a shiny topping for a nice effect!
