  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Sift 2 3/4 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together onto a sheet of waxed paper.

2. Whisk buttermilk, 1 cup butter, the eggs and vanilla in bowl until blended. Add flour mixture and mix just until blended. Pour batter evenly into two buttered and floured 9 x 4 inch loaf pans. Sprinkle with the blueberries.

3. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in a bowl. Mix until crumbly using a pastry blender. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the blueberries.

4. Bake for 45-50 mins or until a knife inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 mins. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
