Ingredients
- 1.5 lb jumbo shrimp
- 5 tblsp sesame oil, dvd
- 3 tblsp rice wine,sake ,or dry sherry
- 3 tblsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tblsp honey
- 1.5 tblsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder
- 2 crushed cloves garlic
- 2 slices ginger
- 2 scallions, smashed and the green sliced for garnish

Rinse the shrimp, drain and dry on paper towels. Combine 3 tblsp sesame oil, the rice wine,soy sauce, honey, sesame seeds, chili sauce, and five spice powder in a large bowl and whisk to blend. Stir in the garlic, ginger scallions, and shrimp to coat, then cover and let marinate for 30-60 minutes. Remove the shrimp and toss in the remaining 2 tblsp sesame oil. Strain the marinade and cook till thick and syrupy, about 3 minutes. Grill the shrimp, brushing with glaze as they cook.sprinkle with scallions and serve.
