Ingredients
- 3 - 4 chopped ripe tomatoes
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- a few pieces of fresh, torn basil
- 8 slices good Italian or French bread
- 2 - 3 cloves of garlic, cut in half
- 6 T extra-virgin olive oil

Preparation
Step 1
Method:
Put chopped tomatoes with juices in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add basil. Let rest 10 minutes.
Toast or broil bread. Rub one side with sliced garlic.
Sprinkle or brush with olive oil. Spoon on tomatoes and serve right away.
