Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375`.
2. Combine sugar and butter in a large bowl, and beat with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add corn syrup, extracts, and egg; beat well.
3. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups, and level with a knife. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture, and beat at low speed until the mixture is well blended.
4. Drop dough by level tablespoons 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Flatten the cookies with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
5. Bake at 375` for 8 minutes or until cookies are golden brown. Remove the cookies from the pan, and cool completely on wire racks.
