Cheese and Sausage Bread

Ingredients

• 1 lb hot sausage
• 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
• 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
• 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
• Tabasco sauce to taste
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 cups baking mix, such as Bisquick
• 1 egg
• 2/3 cup milk
• 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Preparation

Step 1

1. Brown sausage with onion in skillet, stirring until sausage is crumbly; drain.

2. Add sausage, cheese, parsley, Tabasco sauce and salt and mix well.

3. In another bowl, mix the baking mix, egg, milk and mayonnaise in bowl and mix well. Spoon half the batter into a greased 8 x 8" baking pan. Spread with sausage mixture and top with the remaining batter.

4. Bake at 350F for 30 mins.
