Ingredients
- 2 lbs. dried Great Northern Beans
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 small bottle ketchup
- 1 small bottle bbq sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 T cider vinegar
- 2 T dry mustard
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 lb bacon, finely sliced
- 1/4 cup rum (or cognac)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 t dried thyme
- water or chicken stock to cover

Preparation
Step 1
Soak beans overnight
Drain beans and put in pressure cooker pot.
Add all ingredients to beans.
Add water/broth to just cover the conents of the pot.
Pressure cook on HIGH for 45 minutes. Allow a natural release. Beans will thicken as they cool. Best served the next day.
