Ingredients

  • 1 box of 2 pie crusts (available in the dairy section of your local grocery store)
  • 115 grams (4 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 50 mL (1/4 cup) sour cream
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 50 mL (1/4 cup) onion, chopped
  • 255 grams (9 oz.) shaved honey ham, divided
  • 250 mL (1 cup) mango chutney, divided
  • 15 mL (1 tbsp.) melted butter
  • Parchment paper, placed on a large baking sheet

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F).
2. Open and unroll both pie crusts and place on a large baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, scallions, sour cream and onion; mix thoroughly.
4. Build the pastries burrito-style; divide chutney into two parts (50 mL/1/4 cup each) and place on pie crusts length-wise. Divide cream cheese mixture and place on top of chutney. Divide ham and layer on top of cream cheese mixture.
5. Fold pie crusts as you would a tortilla for a burrito, folding ends in first and then sides.
6. Flip the pastries over so that folded sides are on the parchment.
7. Cut three thin (2.5cm/1") slices into the pastries to allow them to breathe. Brush both pastries with melted butter and place in the oven until pastry is golden brown.
