Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup plus 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 6 tblsp. Butter
  • 1/2 cup toasted, chopped hazelnuts
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, split
  • 1 lb. Strawberries ( about 4 cups)
  • 12 oz. Rhubarb, cut up

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350*
combine flour, 2/3 cup sugar, and salt in mixing bowl. Mix well, add butter and crumble with fingers. Mix in the oats and nuts. Mix the fruits, remaining sugar and vanilla seeds from pod,or vanilla extract, and pour onto a buttered 8-8 " pan. Then sprinkle topping over. Bake for 45 minutes till bubbly and brown.
