Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Almond extract
- 1 tsp. Coconut extract
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. Bkg. Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups coconut

Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Separate eggs. Cream short and butter, add the sugar, add yolks, beat till light. Add the extracts. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat the egg whites in a separate bowl till fluffy. Alternately add the flour mixture and the milk to the batter, then add coconut. Fold in the beaten egg whites at the end. Prepare a bunt pan with Pam spray and then pour in your batter. Bake for 2 hours and test for doneness.
