Ingredients

  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz. of shortening 1 stick
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbl.sugar
  • 3/4 teas. vinegar
  • cold water

Preparation

Step 1

combine flour and salt,add sortening and cut into flour
mixture using pastry blender or fingers intil mixture
resembles coarse meal


combine eggs ,sugar,vinegar and enough cold water to make 1/2 cup .pour over flour mixture.

using a fork,mixjust enough to combine. form 2 balls wrap each in plastic wrap, and refrigerate until needed

to roll chilled dough, sprinkle aminimum amount of flour on work surface and rolling pin roll into 13" circle


fold dough into quarters and tranfser to baking pan
