Ingredients

  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup scalded milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Soften yeast in warm water.

Combine scalded milk, sugar, butter and salt. Cool to lukewarm.

Add 1 cup flour and beat well

Beat in softened yeast and egg

Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough. Knead for several minutes.

Cover and let rise until double

Place dough on lightly floured surface. Using a round cookie cutter, cut out rolls until all dough has been used. Place the rolls onto a cookie sheet as you cut them out. Then fold over about 1/4 edge of each roll. Brush with melted butter and let rise till double.

Bake 400 12 or till lightly browned
