Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter flavored crisco
- 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tblsps milk
- 1 tblsp vanilla
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chips
- 1 cup pecan pieces (optional)
- If nuts are eliminated, use 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375o F
Combine crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl
Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until creamy.
Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flowr, calt and baking soda and mix into creamed mixture til just blended
Stir in chocolate chips and pecan pieces.
Drop bounded tblsps of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. (Can also cover baking sheet with parchment paper)
Bake at 375o F for 8-10 mins. for chewey cookies or 11-13 mins for crisp cookies.
Cool on baking sheet for 2 mins. Move to wire rack.
