chocolate chip nut sour cream cake

Ingredients

• 1/4 lb sweet butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 cups flour
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1/8 cup milk
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• for center and top
• 1/2 cup unsalted cashews or walnuts
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 pkg chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar in a mixmaster. Add whole eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Alternate dry ingredients, sour cream, and milk into batter. Add vanilla. Grease a 9 inch angel food cake pan. Pour in half the mixture.

Mix nuts, sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips. Sprinkle half over half the batter. Pour remainder of batter. Sprinkle remainder of chocolate bits mixture over the top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 minutes.
