  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 14 ounce of caramel candy
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Step 1

Mix cake according to directions on box. Grease a 9x12 pan. Pour 1/2 of the cake batter in pan and bake at 350* for 15 minutes. In a saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with butter and milk. Remove cake from oven an pour caramel mixture over half baked cake. Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Pour the remaining cake batter on top. Return to oven for 20 to 30 minutes more.
