Ingredients
- 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/4 cup butter or margerine
- 3/4 cup buttermilk

Step 1
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in rolled oats. Cut into butter until butter forms small particles. Add buttermilk all at once and stir until smooth.
Pour mixture into well-greased 8-inch square pan. Bake in pre-heated 400 degree oven for 30 minutes. Cut while warm into squares. Makes 8 servings.
