Ingredients

  • Wontons:
  • 1/2 lb Ground Pork
  • 2 Green onions, finely Chopped
  • 1 tsp. Grated fresh ginger root
  • 1/2 tsp. Corn Starch
  • 1/2 tsp. Soy sauce
  • 3 drops hot sauce
  • 18 wonton wrappers
  • Soup:
  • 3 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
  • (1) 1/2-inch piece ginger root
  • 2 green onions, trimmed
  • 1 stalk lemon grass
  • Pinch Salt & Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a bowl combine pork, 1 green onion, ginger, cornstarch, soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, Mix until blended.
2. Lay out wonton wrapers, spoon pork mix in center of each wrapper, moisten eadges, fold each in half to form a traingle, press to seal.
3. Place wontons in large pot with water, cook until they float.
4. Meanwhile in a large sauce pan combine broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, green onions and lemongrass, boil and season with salt and pepper.
5. Just before serving, remove ginger, green onions and lemongrass from broth.
6. Place wontons into serving bowl, top with broth.
