Ingredients

    Eggs, large

  • 1/4

    c. sugar

  • 1/4

    t. nutmeg

  • 2/3

    c. orange juice

  • 1/3

    c. milk

  • 1/2

    t. vanilla extract

  • 1

    loaf Italian bread, cut into 1" pieces

  • 1/2

    c. macadamia nuts

  • 2/3

    c. margarine

Directions

Combine the 1st 6 ingredients. Fit bread slices into a greased 9x13" pan. Pour egg mixture over all. Chill 8 hours. Pour melted butter into 15x10" jelly roll pan. Place chilled bread slices in the pan and bake at 400 for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts & bake for 10 minutes more. Garnish with powdered sugar, nutmeg &/or syrup.
