Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 envelopes Fleischmann's Rapid Rise Yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 to 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1

Combine whole wheat flour, yeast sugar and salt in large bowl. Heat milk, water and butter until very warm. Add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed scraping bowl occasionally. Add 1/4 cup flour beat at high speed. Stir in enough flour to make soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.

Divide dough into 12 equal peices. shape into balls. Place in greased 8 or 9 in round pan. Cover let rise in warm place until double in size. about 30 minutes.

bake in preheated 375 oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from pan and brush with additional melted butter.
