Ingredients
- 2 cups of chopped clams(fresh preferred)
- 1 cup of corn meal
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup of clam juice

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together with a whisk. In a seperate bowl or container, mix the eggs and milk together.
Add 3/4 of the clam juice while mixing batter. Add more clam juice if needed to get a smooth consistency(not too runny, but not too thick, either). Add the chopped clams and stir batter well.
Using a tablespoon, place into hot oil and cook until golden brown. (Note: Use extreme caution when dealing with hot oil.)
