- 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 cup lukewarm milk
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter

Step 1
1. Sprinkle yeast over warm milk and stir to dissolve.
2. Beat egg yolks; add to yeast mixture, then add vanilla.
3. Stir together flour, salt, and sugar. Add to liquid ingredients. Stir in the melted butter.
4. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold into the batter.
5. Let stand in warm place, covered, for about 45 minutes before making waffles.
