Challah French Toast

  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 2 tsp Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • dash of Nutmeg
  • 1 loaf Challah Bread
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla


Preparation time 10mins
Cooking time 40mins


Step 1

Grease 9x13 pan

1. Combine first 5 ingredients and pour on the bottom of the greased pan

2. Slice challah bread into cubes. Place over syrup in prepared pan.

3. Beat milk, eggs, and vanilla until well mixed. Pour over bread.

4. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

Next morning, preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until a knife is inserted into french toast and comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
