Grilled Butter Rum Bananas w/ spiced pecans and ice cream 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, plus 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp. dark rum
  • 1 tea. ground cinnamon
  • 3 large ripebananas, peeled and sliced in half.
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Chipotle Spiced Candied Pecans

Preparation

Step 1

In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup butter, brown sugar, cream, rum and cinnamon. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Cover, set aside and keep warm.

Lightly oil and preheat grill to medium. Melt remaining 2 Tbsp. butter and brush banana slices generously. Grill slices of banana until lightly charred on all sides.

Remove bananas and place in serving bowls. Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream and then dirzzle generously with warm butter sauce.

Sprinkle with chipotle spiced candied pecans.
