Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 lb. thinly sliced smoked dried beef, cut into strips
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tea. celery salt
- 1/4 tea. black pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 1 4-oz. can chopped green chilies
- few drops Tabascoor hot sauce, optional
- Red pepper flakes, optional
- 8 buttermilk biscuits

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a skillet; add beef and onion. Cook and stir until onion is tender.
Stir in flour, celery salt and pepper; add milk, stirring until well blended. Add chopped chilies; cook and stir until mixture thickens and boils.
To serve, split biscuits and spoon gravy over all.
You could also scramble some eggs and spoon over the biscuits before adding the gravy.
