Ingredients
- German Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 package of Kraft Caramels
- 1/2 cup or 1 small evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour 1/2 the batter into a Pam sprayed 9 x 13 pan. Bake for only 15 minutes. On top of double boiler over hot water, melt together: caramels, milk, and butter. Pour this mixture over the baked portion of cake. Sprinkle the pecans and chocolate chips over the caramel mixture. Spread remaining batter over caramel mixture. Bake an additional 25 5o 30 minutes. If desired you may before returning cake to oven sprinkle 1/2 cup of pecans on top of batter. Can sprinkle powdered sugar on top of baked cake.
